Jupiter FL.

Is there anything happening in Jupiter FL? I've the 6th & 7th March to kill.

Schumi 03-06-2009 08:25 AM

You could hit up a Cardinals pre-season game. They play on both those dates.

Jesset100 03-06-2009 08:34 AM

Funny you should say that, some of the family went but me, my wife, and my sister in law didn't want to go.
Any more suggestions? Any racing or car sutff happening?

On the short side nothing going north......Tequesta, Jensen Beach, Stuart, Fort Pierce, etc aside from a nice ride on AIA, so head south to West Palm Beach or Ft. Lauderdale for restaurants and beach scene. Its just an hour south, via US1, AIA or turnpike. If you have to kill a day, leave early for Kissimee via the turnpike and take in Universal Studios or Disneyworld (2 hours).

Lots of choices as much is within a couple of hours from Jupiter-Tequesta area.
. AIA/US1/I-95 to Kennedy Space Center
. AIA/US1/I-95 to Florida Keyes (Key Largo)
. Alligator Alley to Naples
. Florida Everglades

If you MUST hang around Jupiter, hit the beach and find a good grouper sandwich.

No.

Go to the track, and race some Karts.

Head down to Palm Beach and gawk at the cars.

North of you, up my way, it quiet not much to do. I like it that way.

Action is South, we are supposed to be in the 80's tomorrow, enjoy something outside, the beaches there are beautiful. I love Juno Beach.

But if you do drive south into Broward or Dade, remember NOT to use your turn signals when turning or changing lanes. That immediately identifies you as a tourist.

Thanks for the tips fellas. We are boarding Liberty Saturday afternoon for a one week cruise. I've searched and there isn't anything in Jupiter.
Thanks again
Jesse

Searched????

What are you looking for?

Car stuff?

Orbit Racing is in Jupiter, want to stop by their shop.

North Palm Beach is home to a few other P-car racing shops and other non-p-car racing shops.

I gave you a link to a world class race track 15-20 minutes from Jupiter.

Entertainment?

Abacoa downtown (where the Cardinals are playin) lots of bars and restaurants to hang out at.

A little South at the Gardens Mall is a nice outdoor mall / entertainment facility, its Called "Downtown" nice bars and restaurants there too.

20 minutes south is Clematis Street in Down Town West Palm Beach, tons of bars and nighclubs that stay open until 5 a.m.

Or if that is too young and wild, City Place has a more adult theme with some nice bars etc...

There's always fishing. Seriously.

Just make sure that when you take the pic for the fish landed thread, you have something in it that will out-do what's on the thread already.

Shoulda went to those pre-season games... I was stuck in Arizona one night and caught a KC Royals preseason game. Possibly the worst baseball ever, but the hotdogs were cheap and I didn't really watch the baseball.. there was a lot of fine out of town female types that I spent the rest of my evening scouting. One made it worth the $5 for the ticket (or however much it was).

spring training is IT - or fishing - but still a little cool for that.
