Has anyone heard of a scam called WLI*SHOPPERSDISCOUNT
I didn't notice a charge of $9 showing up on my credit card each month. I swear I didn't sign up for it anywhere. They provide some bogus shopping service.
A google search shows I am not alone in this or various other similar scams by them. How can a charge show up on your credit card without receiving an invoice or other statement? My credit card company wanted me to resolve this with WLI first but their customer service never answers and the automated service only gives the option of canceling the service not getting a refund. One web site I read associated this rip off with JC Whitney who I coincidentally had a transaction with before this started. Be Careful and check your credit card. |

Dispute the charges. If you've got a good CC company (like Citibank) they will pursue it, espeically if you haven't authorized the charges.
Good luck! -Zoltan.

I got it refunded.
I asked how I got signed up and was told it was with a $10 coupon on the JC Whitney website that was clicked and I filled out the email address twice to confirm to join the shopper discount. What Bu!! 5hit !!! I don't remember doing this and definitely didn't use a $10 coupon on the two exhaust flanges and mandrel bent tubing I purchased from them. It was < $10 not counting the outrageous shipping and handling (only place to get the stuff). Even if I did when does entering your e-mail authorize a charge to your credit card? JC Whitney lost a customer, I'll never buy anything from them again. |

Where is there a list of companies who are associated with them? I will seriously avoid them all like the plague.

Not sure why WLI has been able to commit interstate banking fraud for years, but at least they've nailed a copycat:
