911 SC prices?
I sold my SC targa for $12k about 2 years ago. It was a nice driver. Crazy to think I can find a solid hardtop for $10-12K?
|
$12-15 is more likely, but I don't think $11K would be out of the question. I would think that the economy would kill a lot of sports car prices, so maybe they will come down a little.

Even with the economy, there are still a lot of buyers for good, solid air-cooled 911s that are priced under $15K.

I have noticed that nice example in very good condition seem to be holding steady for now and some are still going back overseas, but I have heard of two really good deals recently.
A Member of the 914 club picked up an 84 Carrera Coupe with 65,000 miles for $6,000, passed PPI with good results. Just spoke to local Porsce club member over the weekend about his son picking up an 83 SC Coupe 115,000 miles, fresh top-end overhaul, rebuilt tranny, perfect interior and paint is 7 out of 10 for $6,500 in Texas-seller lost his job. All depends on location, timing, condition.... |

I have a friend that is selling his 83 911SC sunroof coupe for $13K. Rebuilt engine and trans, no leaks, nice car.

Carrera for $6k? Sign me up.

I run across SCs for @$8K all the time, and 84-88s for @ 13-16ish.. Plenty of deals out there.
|
I guess the cars on here and in the PCA newsletter just tend to be more expensive (because they tend to be better maintained?)
