A bail-out we REALLY don't need!
Not to start the Ethanol/food economics debate again..
It's nearly impossible for me find non-blended fuel for the P-car already. I see a big reduction in mpg if I'm forced to used it. Gas is somewhat affordable again and food prices are coming back. Now the Eth industry is lobbying to make it worse than it is/was?!? WTF? ----------------------------------------------------------- "How Ethanol Makers Hope to Prevent Collapse Even before the recession took hold, the ethanol industry was suffering. Recent months haven't been any kinder. So industry representatives are urgently turning to the Obama administration, asking it to do something they say is critical for their survival: change the federal limit on how much ethanol can be blended into gasoline. The industry's push to allow drivers to fill up on higher blends of ethanol has been building since late last year. It's still largely opposed by automakers, which worry that higher ethanol blends might harm cars....." http://news.yahoo.com/s/usnews/20090309/ts_usnews/howethanolmakershopetopreventcollapse |
