The best cooking show is Top Chef. Those challenges that they make them do are outrageous! That show is brutal.
You cook your arse off for weeks in a row, have one bad night - or the fish didn't rest long enough, or too much salt, or the combination didn't work...Boom! you're outa there. |

You also usually get a history lesson out of it also. |

I love "Iron Chef" they use pretty interesting ingredients and techniques.
