I finally figured out my posting pictures, etc problems here!
 

It is the advanced editor. Select the standard editor, and all is well. Uploading pictures works, and it throws the correct info into the window. If you post a you-tube video link in, it comes up perfectly everytime.

How do you change the setting?

Click on User CP

Under Settings and options (on the left side) click on Edit Option

In the last (bottom-most) field, Miscellaneous Option,
Select "Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls" in the pull-down menu
The editor that is the problem is the WYSIWYG option
