Wish I knew where one of these jamokes lives and was in ear shot of me. I'd make myself a sign something like, "AN AIG FLUNKY LIVES HERE" and walk back & forth in front of his house.

Read a good idea on calculaterisk earlier. Let the AIG execs get the full bonus. Change tax laws so the bonus is taxed at 100% rate for any executive of a company receiving bailout bux.

My wife works at a hospital. The idiocy of the hospitals management leads the institution into bankruptcy.

My wifes contract states that she will get X dollars if she works 80 hours a week for the past 48 weeks. Does my wife not deserve her bonus, after 48 weeks of working 80 hours a week because 'it looks bad' ?

You are not comparing apples to apples. Of course she does. I received my bonuses. Of course I didn't run a company into the road. No raise this year though for anyone. I think also there is a tax benifit for giving bonuses vs. raised, things like that.

I predict the civil unrest will start this summer. Taxpayers are close to fed-up with this cra* and will get angry enough to revolt soon....

"if she works 80 hours a week for the past 48 weeks"
HD, say it ain't so. Did you mean 80 hours in a pay period (2 weeks)?

Like many hospitals she is probably on call so she is at hospital 24 hours a day. So in 2 days she would have worked 48 hours.
