itunes 8 download - now I can't sync with iphone
HELP! Nor does it show up in windows "My Computer"
I have tried restarting the apple mobile services - I have tried uninstalling my USB hub and reinstalling drivers I can see my flash drive when I plug it in - my usb cable for my camera works and shows on "My Computer" I tried my iphone on another computer and it recognized it = so I know it's not the iphone. When I go to MS support - they want $59.99 for phone support (windows XP) so I can talk to someone in india named "jeff" that I can barely understand... not happy right now.

Try this:
From Device Manager, Select the iPhone (under imaging/Portable Devices) and then select "Update Driver", Don't direct it to automatically search for a driver, instead, manually point it to search in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers - It should then "do it's thing" and install the correct apple driver - voila - iPhone is then recognized.

You are welcome.
It seems that generic MS drivers took over on some upgrades to iTunes 8. Hopefully this fixes it for you, as I read a few instances where the drivers reverted back to the MS drivers. If you reboot your computer a coupe of times and the iPhone is still recognized, then I think the problem will have been solved. I've seen this happen with other hardware as well. Dave
