Car Stereo Help - Where's Bell?
Trying to connect and old car stereo in my trailer.
Head unit - Nakamichi TD-500 It has RCA pairs for all the speakers. Is there a way to convert them for a standard speaker set-up? How can I tell if I need an amp? Anyplace to get a manual without paying for it? Amp - I have an old ADs PQ8 amp, but I'd prefer not to use it if possible. TIA, John

Are you SURE that the RCA's are "speaker out" instead of "line out"?

I have the power, ground & amp connections figured out. Beyond that there are three pairs of female RCA plugs, w/white, blue, yellow tags. I was hoping to install this wiout an amp to save space, but it appears they are line out not speaker out. Can;t find a manual without spending $15. I hve a big amp that when connected powered the speakers. Also, I only want to run one pair of speakers, is that a problem?

sounds like it's a pre-amp only radio, meaning you need an amp. i have a small cheap amp i could send you which will work fine for 2 speakers instead of putting in a large amp (i think it's 20watts x2)............and it'll use less power.
