RoboCop and real life ?
It's been a while since I saw a RoboCop movie but I do seem to remember that it was based in Detroit ... or where was it???
Anyway, when I was cruising real estate listings in Detroit, I kept thinking to myself. That is the real live location for RoboCop. In the last 50 years the population has decreased by about 50%. Crime seems to be bad. Now, just imagine some huge corporation buys up blocks and blocks of gutted houses, puts the bull dozer to them and just builds a huge corporation complex in the middle of all this. Since the city is having problem with crime (personal opinion ... I don't live anywhere near there) the corporation would just employ a small army of guards. I really feel bad for some of these areas. They saw better days in the past and really do deserve better. So, anybody interested in creating a REIT, getting some cash heavy companies? Imagine, being the King of your own city ! lolo, but this idea is already almost 2 years old ;) |
Brilliant idea! You could open up an automotive factory...<p>

Seeing Robocop at the theater I realized something about martial arts and firearms - violence, when it is not the product of long difficult training and honor, is obscene. Firearms give anyone that power without the wisdom that restrains it.
