Man up and make yourself one that once you're in the car you swap out for the "driving cast" give it a "pioloti" heal for christ sakes!

don't sue me if you do supti'n stupid

I broke my right foot TWICE the first time I was 24 and I told the DR. to have the cast tech make it no bigger than x he didn't listen to me so when it didn't fit out in the parkinglot I cut the cast off with my pocket knife. I went back in they made it right the second time!

I've broken My right anke in 3 spots one in my 20's 2 spots when I was 40
My tailbone, on a kiddie slide
4 ribs in a kart wreck
right arm - green tree break in a moon bounce
left arm jupming off of stuff
left elbow, bicycle wreck
and compressed T10 to 1/2 of it's height dirtbike wreck

Done it a bunch after six surgeries from the knees on down. Not a problem at all.

Once I drove home 90 miles after breaking my right leg in 2 places and ripping all the ligaments off my ankle.....Just use cruise, pop into netural and brake with the left foot. It only hurts when you laugh.........

it's not safe to try

here they take your drivers license if they see you driving with a leg or even an arm in a full cast...
And they should , you cannot react fast enough, and whatever trick you pull to still drive, cane, left foot , ankle , whatever, will not work when you need to respond to some kind of emergency... you don't have the muscle memory for it...

What Red-beard said.

Why take the chance of having someone pull out in front of you , or get yourself in a situation where you can't react quick enough.

I had to drive in traffic every day. Yes, I did stall out a few times but it turns out that you can't actually die of embarassment. Good thing or most of us would have never survived high school! ;)

I am in awe.

I would worry about getting in an accident - even when not at fault - and be made responsible due to the cast. It would be very easy to argue by an opposing party that one was not fit to drive a vehicle. The only way I would drive with a cast like that would be with a professionally modified set up like permanently disabled people often have.

Just my two cents.
