sciatica! sciatica!

Who would have thunk that stretching for tai chi class would send my lower back downhill on Mon night. Of course riding from LA to SD and back for a meeting on Wed didn't help. After going to the floor like I was shot last night while leaning over it was off to the ortho today.

Depo medrol shots in the back and prescriptions called in. Yeah, we're having some fun...

That sucks.

Did you warm-up before you stretched? Stretching cold muscles is a no-no but soooo many people do it.

I know your pain - I've had surgery on L3,4,5 for ruptured/herniated discs. The sciatica was brutal.

Check these with your doc.

Good luck! At least it wasn't a coyote. ;)

Boy does that sound familiar...

I feel your pain Todd. Hope your recovery time is way less than mine.

Bummer Todd... Know when I hurt my back (From being rear ended) the only thing that got me through were the painkillers and the tens unit.... I actually think the tens unit worked better than the drugs, because it would actually numb the entire area after a while.... know that I hate medrol... get well soon....

The trip to SD and back is what set you up, more than likely, do you wear any sort of lumbar support?

Whatever came of your problem? And how are you now?

I have had occasional back issues over the years (nothing serious) from sports, just bending wrong, etc. I now have an inverson table, and even though I don't use it regularly every few days like I probably should, I do when I'm having a "issue", and it works wonders.
