My question is whether they carry a typical autoloader (say a 30-40 oz gun plus the ammo) without printing, sagging, bouncing, or listing to gunside. I gather the vest Rick has works fine, but I was thinking of a slimmer vest, more of a traditional leather vest, like http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1238614119.jpg |
I have seen them, try 5.11 Tactical as well.
I wouldn't wear a vest normally, so I would never wear one to conceal a gun. Unless you are going to wear it a lot, so you can get used to the motion of retrieving said gun, I wouldn't reccomend it. Just my point of view. I also don't carry an extra clip on an everyday basis either. If you want a nice concealable holster, just skip all the Galco crap, and buy a Milt Sparks. Bill |
Wow, dont think ive ever seen anyone call Galco 'crap' before.
I have a SOB, belt slide and horizontal shoulder rig, all from Galco. All are quite nice. As are milt sparks wares. |
I've never worn a vest for carrying other than something tactical or close to it. You'd have to have a pretty slim handgun to keep from printing or sliding around in a leather vest.

Maybe crap is a little harsh, I just don't like the Galco stuff I have, so my view might be tainted.

fobus does make a nice holster for ccw carry. lil adjustment screw for loose or tight fit on pistole. i have juan for my hk uspc 9mm. very happy with it. cheap vs leather and can handle getting wet unlike leather.
leather sucks here in the summer. ask me how i know. |

I had one just like that John but I left it somewhere .... back in 1976 :) |
Somehow that just wouldn't look right with the assless chaps.

Whenever I see someone in one of those "photographer's vests", it reminds me of "Walter Sobchak" from The Big Lebowski!
