Question backing up files to a CD
My Norton program is asking me to back up to a CD.
For some reason the program is not reading my CD? Could I be using the wrong CD? I'm using a TDK CD-R 52X 700MB ![]()

My Computer -> Right click on the CD drive -> Properties. See if you have a 'Recording' tab. If so, it's a writable drive. Now you just need software to format the CD. If you have Roxio, I think you can do it from there. You can also right click on the CD drive and see if there is an option to format.

It most likely says RW on the front too, if it's writable.

Ha! Very true. With the new cases that have doors in front of the actual drives, it's possible to drive a person crazy looking for the 'RW'.
Anyway, you can look at the front of the drive as well. ![]()
