A friend of mine owns a nursery. He wanted me to go with him to a "Home & Garden Show" to see what the hot seller was going to be.
On the way down, I came up with an idea of a "staycation" where you sell the homeowner on taking money they would spend traveling on fixing up the backyard (he installs waterfall, hardscape, etc. for you) and the family works together a few days planting and later enjoys their new backyard!
We get there and look around and I said to him "Maybe you should just put a rack of "Sham-Wows!" by the checkout. Friggen everybody was buying them up, it was nuts.

I'm trying to decide whether to become an inventor or a pitchman. I don't want to be a catcher.

I know the guy that produced that spot. He can sell ice to eskimos.

I hope what I saw on the Discover channel last nite was an April Fools joke. They had Billy Mayes talking about a new show called Pitchmen:eek:

My wife bought sham wows. She got them direct, not off TV. They totally suck. They don't dry a sweater, they don't suck up water better than my micro fiber towel I bought for the car. An old piece of felt would be the same if not better. It's a pitch alright.

Even though Vince warned me to "beware of Imitators" I just couldnt help myself. I picked up this at the Dollar Store.

Yup. For some reason my mother in law gave several of us Shamwows for Christmas. Uh.....thanks. I use them for crappy stuff that will dirty my real chamois.
