New TV: "Southland"

The new NBC series "Southland" about LA cops is availible to watch right now- before the premiere on TV- on www.hulu.com.

I have been anticipating this ever since I saw the previews. I just got done watching it, thought it was pretty good. It's basically E.R. except with the LAPD instead of a fictional hospital.

Ben McKenzie is the lead and I liked him from "The OC". Yes I watched the OC. The x-wife started me on it when it premiered and I ended up watching the whole series. I'm a sucker for a good drama with some action thrown in around the edges.


This Southland should be a good balance between my other TV shows, Terminator and Fringe. I like to have a nice variety.

Anyone else going to watch it?

I just finished watching it. It is very well done. Of course it is a bit "hollywoodized," but overall it is pretty close. They have some good technical advisors because the lingo and mannerisms were correct.

You will probably like it, except for the way the trainee snaps back at the FTO. Anything new? We have riot training on the 22nd. Will your bike squad be there?
