Gun Show Today
Good gun show this weekend here in the Springs. The place was frickin' packed! $8 gets you in for both days. Glad I was there early. Seemed to be a good selection of all types of ammo and if you looked around there were some pretty good deals. (.223 $7.40/20 FMJ) if bought in bulk. Lots of powder, primers, brass and re-loading supplies. I got lucky and ran into some reloading buddies that I trust and made several(!) purchases. Huge selection of rifles, revolvers, semi-autos and assorted goodies. Seems as though these vendors came to the show well stocked and prepared to move some products. The way stuff was moving today, I hope they brought enough for tomorrow. Needless to say the CBI will be flooded with requests from just this morning.
I did check the prices on the next rifle I think I need :D and thought it was to high. I can still buy it at one of the local gun shops for about $350, at the show it was $580 so no deal there. This purchase in the next couple of weeks will be a .22 mag. lever action (Henry) in round or octagon barrel. The .22 mag ammo is still reasonable(?) and folks don't give it enough credit especially in JHP. If any of the Co. guys want to go the show, it is at the Phil Long Expo Center on the north end of town, behind the Walmart. The Street is Auto Mall Loop. Good thing "Como Va" only needs an oil change, new e-brake pads, hood struts, and a tranny service to be ready for another year. Nice day for this too. Weather is overcast, windy, light snow, and COLD! Karl 88 Targa |
Must be nice to live in a state that believes in the Constitution.

So far, so good as far as that goes, don't know how much longer it will last though. The selection of EVERYTHING was just huge. You would have had a field day! Most politicians would have passed out at the first table, AR's, AK's FAL, Ruger, Mac's, everything. Clips, you want clips? Single stack, double stack, 20, 30, 40, and 100 rd drums. Yeah, I think I'll go drop a few more dollars tomorrow around noon.
