I have never seen road crews put one in the ground like that unless it was gonna be there for a while... I would talk to my neighbor and agree on a spot for the sign somewhere on the property line... I would then mark the spot agreed upon with spray paint... I would then confront the foreman and advise him that the sign needed to be moved due to safety reasons... I would let him know that you had a place already marked for him to place the sign... if unsuccessful, next move would be city hall...

find the government dude overseeing that project. ask him/her. they get "attaboys" for keeping the public happy.

if I was home, while they were there, I'd ask them to move it. I'm at work long before they show up and not home until long after they've left.
In the middle of typing this response - I got through to the City (actually, they called me back). They're making the sidewalk corners ADA compliant. Looks like I'm stuck w/ the sign for a few weeks. |
