I'm always between sizes

Right now I'm fat so my waist is between 38 and 40. Just go try finding 39 waist pants. Same goes my inseam - 31, not 30 or 32. Neck, 18 but arms 34-35. Most shirts are 18 35-36 or 36-37. Guess I'll have to start shopping at the round and short men's store.

I am laughing and laughing and laughing. How about some nachos?

cantdrv55 04-08-2009 03:56 PM

Got a bowl in front of me now. Yumm.

I'm happy cause I just moved up to a 34" waist from a 33". It's much easier to find 34" waist by 36" inseam :D

Wild...you are my exact size! I feel your pain. I keep telling myself, someday I'll be able to fit back into those size 36 pants that I refuse to get rid of! In fact, I should be working out now, but I just finished a brutal 12 hr day and I'm beat (I know....excuses, excuses...)

This is how it works. If you're an odd size 33", 35", etc..., you buy the next size UP and wear a belt.

Going from a 32 to 34 is a huge jump. A guy with a 33 waist and a belt is gonna have some weird, rumpled pants when he puts on the 34's. Lately I've found the 34's I wear to be getting tight and uncomfortable. 36's look like gansta pants. I guess I don't have much of a bum.

55, it might be easier to loose 10 lbs. Put down the nachos. Put them down. ;)

hadehadehaya, I bet my high school pants would fit (31/32) and I'm just older than Milt. My 19yr old college swimmer son is the same size, but he wears relaxed fit jeans. Perhaps I'm blessed by not having a sweet tooth.

I hate you Jim. ;)

Paul T 04-08-2009 05:09 PM

So do I :)

I was 31/32 in high school also, hard to believe I've put 7 inches on my waist! Then again, hard to believe I'm 40! Time to lose some weight....beer is the enemy. Specifically, good beer. It's shame I don't drink coors light, I'd probably be ok.

tedward515 04-08-2009 05:39 PM

I have the same problem. I actually wear a 32 waist but 34s feel so comfortable that I buy 36s ;)

cantdrv55 04-08-2009 05:40 PM

I had a 28 inch waist and wore a 34R tuxedo on my wedding day. I'm pretty sure my mother-in-law weighed more than me then. Fast forward 25 years and I'm into a 46R suit. I think my MIL still weighs more than me.

syncroid 04-08-2009 05:46 PM

I've been 34 for at least the last 5 years. I'm 48 to boot.

TimT 04-08-2009 05:48 PM

I wear 35 waist 30 inseam pants.. they are out there.... bit hard to find

peppy 04-08-2009 06:15 PM

My wife is shrinking my pants.:D

onewhippedpuppy 04-08-2009 06:23 PM

I need a 31 inseam. Why can't anyone make a freakin 31 inseam?

VincentVega 04-08-2009 07:28 PM

I made the mistake and went to a tailor last year. The close fit perfectly. They are damn expensive. Thing is, I dont want to wear off the shelf anymore.

Here's a good/cheap source for customer shirts, http://www.execshirts.com/measure-me-custom-dress-shirt.htm . I tested one with the average material, it fits perfectly.

porsche4life 04-08-2009 07:36 PM

I wear a 29/34. Find that in stores....

I hear you.

I go with the 32 inseam, better a little longer, than a little shorter.

Why is it o.k. for women to wear flood pants, but it not o.k. for men?
