I guess it's all relative, my take is the skirmishing was mostly volley fire, the casualities per round fired was quite low.

Muskets are anything but accurate.

I think the old git was just acting - acting like he'd been hit. AND over doing it by going to the hospital, just like the old days. These confederate types won't give up.

They should have reenacted a civil war hospital - would have pushed their video over the top for realism.

Start with the hack saw (chopping a limb was normal) then a follow up a few days later as he developed a nasty infection and gangrene - now that would be some serious reenactment...
