well it was the idiot consumer that bought the house that was out of his price range and did it on an ARM that he didnt know was going to change. and then put too much on his credit card at the same time without the ability to pay it off either. and they arent buying the cars the big three says they should anymore.
so yes you could say it was the consumers fault.

And who else do you blame? No one is calling me. I've had more experience than I care to think about where people just say they have to not spend right now. Hardly any of these same people have lost a job or had undue expense. Sure, their house isn't an ATM anymore and their retirement is worth 2/3rds or worse. But the money that fuels the economy comes out of wallets like yours and mine
BTW, the money stopped coming out of people's wallets as far back as 2006. By '07 it was a trend. By '08 money was constipated. Your government informed you that the recession began in Dec of '07. Your government has it's head up its ass. |
