what is the mechanism that creates the urge to pee, when hands are wet?

everytime i do dishes, i have to stop and run off to pee. same with my frequent handwashing.

does it only happen to males? what gives? i dont get the connection.

let me defer to the pelican OT braintrust.

The warm water tricks the brain into thinking you are back in the amniotic sac wherein you could pee with abandon.

Everyone, close your eyes. Imagine a nice, calm mountain stream trickling past as you recline in a comfortable hammock, relaxing in the mid-day sun.

Report back how many minutes past until you had to urinate.

How about when you walk into a book store you have to take a crap?

notfarnow 04-18-2009 04:37 AM

Ha, we tried that on a friend who passed out at my house a few years ago. No luck, but it made a pretty funny picture!

Breakfast snorted out my nose when I read that one- thanks.

That doesn't happen to me...but I always get an itchy nose when I am carrying something heavy with both hands!

Not sure what book section triggers that reaction. Can you be more specific? Could be an important community service suggestion, especially on a date.

What did your momma tell you before you leave the house? :)

Dude, book stores and libraries! Its a family thing for us. I even have a relative who goes to the Library to deal with constipation! :D

vash 04-18-2009 08:05 PM

the smell of books gets me going too. if they only allowed coffee at my library...the turtle head would be poking!

Evans, Marv 04-18-2009 08:36 PM

The thing that does it for me is when I pour water into my coffe maker. Seems like I have to pee every time. Guess it's the sound of that dribbling water that puts the suggestion into my mind.
