Generally speaking when a seller says "350/350' they are describing the CI/ trans combo
Chevy did make many different HP levels of the same CI. The 350 for example had 250/300/350/360 HP numbers starting in late '69 The 350 and 400 auto trans numbers indicated a rating of 350 or 400 lbs/tq level of safe operation |

Ford and Mopar isn't an issue unless that Dodge is making 727 HP. :) |

Thank you for all the kind comments. This color is the original Mist Blue Metalic. I re-did everything but tried to keep it stock looking. The suspension is Air Ride Technologies so I can adjust the ride height and she handles pretty good. The brakes are new model discs and I don't know if you could tell, but those wheels are 17" to fit the bigger brakes. I called Lingenfelter and got and engine that will run at 7500 rpms for 200 hours. 50,000 mile warranty. The dyno says 547hp at the wheels. Equal torque figure. 5 speed backs it up. Less than 9 seconds to 100mph, even with me driving. Nice to know I'm not the only Porsche/Chevrolet guy out there.
Back on topic.....these cars are great as investments (for money and for youself). And they make me feel good, is there anything else?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1240449629.jpg |

When I bought my 911 my plan had been to get an old Chevelle and update the suspension and brakes and go with a crate motor and A/C. I went the 911 route when I found out I could afford one. I'm glad I did, but I still want another old Chevy some day (and another Porsche or two). |
Pretty cars in this thread. I wish I still had my 65 Mustang. Someday I'd like to buy a 65/66 fastback with no collector value (6 cyl 3 spd) and hop it up mercilessly.

Really liking the green Chevelle--vinyl top and all. I like the fact that it is not sporting an "SS" grille, badging, and stripes--seen waaaay too many cheaply done clones.
|
JLC, your Chevelle is stunning. Personally those are my favorite muscle cars, those that are modern enough to enhance the drive but keep the original look and character of the original.
|
Engine compartmet looks pretty rough. If you were going through motions of putting in a new motor, wouldn't you spend a few extra bucks and get valve covers/air filter cover. Huh.

No big deal... it might be something you can use to your favor in bargaining, though.

songhoh? The prettiest Chevelle I've seen...and the mechanicals sound like a dream rod. Seriously, you ought to send pics to HOT ROD...
