I have a 6 pack of Billy Beer - unopened
|
I was at both US Festivals - I lived only 20 miles from there. Always skipped the heavy metal days tho...
|
Heh he, I've got the Billy Beer on the shelf and the cardboard oil cans.
I'm not trying to be "topper" here, rather expose my stupid compulsion. |
I have my first hard rock cafe t-shirt, from Washington DC. Got it when I was in high school. (of course, that was only 10 years ago, but still.)
My brother has my dad's sergeant stripes from when he got out of the army, which was the early/mid 90s I believe. I still have and play my first guitar, which I got when I was 13 (1995). I recently got another one just like it, same year and everything, from eBay. It's an Ibanez from 1984. September, to be exact. I don't plan on buying a new car for a long time, I'll stick with my Porsche, and if I need more room then I want to get an 80s 5-series. Not sure if that counts as nostalgia though. |
I've had my wife for 27 years, just can't seem to shake her.

Milt- I think you are my fathers long lost twin.
He is into old stuff in general and advertising in particular. We have all kinds of coke, pepsi, and the like. He is in the sign business which explains the ads and then he grew up on Rt. 66 so he is really into the rt66 era stuff. |
no pics but i think i still have the shift knob from my first car it was a 1979 bmw 320i ...i know i still have the original rims and am supposed to be selling them but i just have trouble doing it

I have a can of Cloverine Salve I've had since 1954. In those days kids could order cardboard cylinders containing maybe 25 cans. You didn't pay anything up front for them. Then you would take them out and sell them door-to-door for 25 or 35 cents and send the money to the company. You got so many points for each cylinder worth you sold. They had a catalog of things you could get with your points. I got several things but don't remember what they were now. I also have a metal tube of Atlas automotive door hinge lubricant (kind of like a big tube of chap stick). I think it was my dad's, and it must be 60+ years old. The Coverine Salve has been knocking around in my sock drawers for as long as I can remember, and the Atlas hinge lube has been in my garages/workshops forever.

I have a tube of Ozonol that is about 50 years old. I am sure the tube is made of lead. Probably toxic but it stops mosquito bites from itching.

I still have the shift rod and knob from my first car as well as the ignition key and the tach that I put in it. I have plenty of other little stuff from over the years in boxes here and there.
I've got some stuff from when I lived in Japan in the late 70's. I'm only 38, so I'm still collecting. |
