Lose 10#, reduce your intake of salt and fat... exercise more.....
I have an Omron bpm which is probably 15 years old.. digital.. And its results are comparable to the column of mercury in the Doctors office. I check my blood pressure just before I visit my Dr... The Omron is always very close to to the Dr's gauge

Couple years ago I bought a wrist model from somewhere like Walmart. I just pulled it out of the drawer - Omron hem609. I took BP daily for a while. I used biofeedback principles to lower my BP by checking it often and trying to lower my BP by thought process. It seemed to work. I no longer take the BP pill my doc had me on and I have a good BP everytime I get checked. I had previously had high BP my whole life. I find it easier to ignore stress now. No longer use the thing - maybe it was all coincidence?

Yes, I agree with the Omron recommendation.

I just looked on Amazon and they sell this exact model for 69.73 +SH. I'll send mine to you for half that if you want it $35 + $5 for shipping. It worked well and I don't need or use it any more.
