I commuted to college for a year in my parent's stripped down '83 LeCar as my dad had just got a new job with a company car. They took pity on me and let me drive it instead of my POS cobbed up VW Beetle. It was actually kind of peppy compared to other small economy cars of the day. It did not even come with a radio. IIRC, my parents paid just under 4k for it brand new. I ended up somehow convincing my dad to let me trade it on a somewhat beat up 1972 240Z. I wish I still had the 240Z.... The LeCar.... not so much.

That thing does look suprisingly good. But then again, I've always had a soft spot for restyled Ramblers built in South America......
