Europe is so civilized.

Check out this video from Denmark. The police are enforcing the helmet law for cyclists.

When they catch someone not wearing a helmet, the delinquent gets a hug from the police and a free helmet.

I agree with all of the above, except for the high wages part. Being a european myself, I can assure you that if the wages were that high, I would be back there in a heartbeat .
I have seen that a $100k/yr job here is paid about Euro40k/yr there for same job, same qualifications.

MAybe, maybe not.. it depends on which sector you are in...certainly if my job in the US was better paid and as rewarding I would have considered staying there more seriously...but it wasn't so the choice was a no brainer.
