I called it weeks ago. I had a feeling Farradys dad was Whidmore.

So basically if he could have stopped the 'incident' then would there be two of everybody? I mean we have 40 year old jack in 1977 but we also have 10 year old jack in 1977 happening at the same 'time', right? so if he gets back home in 1977, will there be two jacks?

But I doubt (for some reason) that Eloise Hawking is Penny's mom... What do you think?

I'm thinking "parallel universes" at this point in response to the issues you raise...

Widmore was ejected from the island for having a relationship and child with someone from the "outside". I'm quite sure that Penny is that child, and we might/won't ever know who her mother is.

When Eloise announced that Danial was her son, there was this pregnant pause, like we were supposed to be amazed...I thought that was already well known by everyone watching?

and when eloise got into the cab at the end, she stated that it was very hard to send daniel back to the island in knowing what happened to him, BUT, why did she send him there knowing she was going to kill him? If she didnt send him, he would not have been killed in present day.

AND big question, how did daniel get off the island in the first place to be able to return ?

Can I assume this has something to do with tv?

my initial reaction was, youre kidding right? even though many, many people dont watch it, i thought everybody had at least heard of it!

LOST S5 E15 = Lost, season 5, episode 15.

yeah, that was never really explained. I think last we saw him he was crying over Charlotte's dead body...right?

Daniel flashed into 1974 with the other 3. That night, they were sitting around the patio, and he saw child-Charlotte, and realized that he wanted to change the future so she wouldn't die. He mentally fought over whether "what happened happened", meaning, he couldn't change the future.

When the Flight 316 characters arrived in 1977, they were told that Daniel had been there, but wasn't anymore.

He left the Island on the submarine, pretending to be a Dharma scientist so that he could get his hands on a lab to work on his time travel experiments...obviously, to determine if he COULD interfere with the established timeline, thereby saving Charlotte. He came back when he thought he had found a way to change the entire timeline that we have seen.


The Island didn't like that idea...
