If you want a great DVD to add to your collection, this is the one. I can watch it over and over, great musicians and Johnny's duets with them are something else...

No flame from this JC fan, I thought it was superb and that Reese Witherspoon deserved that Oscar 100%.

I picked up my my brother in law from Casper Wyoming at the airport last Christmas. He and I never really hit it off and I knew next to nothing about him and he me. We made the usual small talk and then fell silent for the next 1/2 hour as we drove home. He asked if he could turn on the radio to which I replied," yes, but you probably don't like my taste in music." Well, when Johnny Cash's "Get rhythm" came on he just about fell over laughing! Turns out he's a huge fan and ever since we've been like old chums! Good stuff!

My father, an electrical engineer from the 40's and a hugh Cash fan, used to run a wire from the monaural output on the back of an old TV to the input on his late 60's Sony Reel to Reel. He religiously recorded that show. Before he dies a couple of years ago, I searched in vain for DVD's of the show - all I could find were some miserable used and incomplete VHS tapes. Thank you for posting that link!

My step kids met him shortly before his death. Said he was very nice. He gave my stepson a bunch of his 35mm camera equipment...apparentlly he really enjoyed photography.
Grew up with his music thanks to my parents...didn't appreciate it then but have become a born again fan.

I have most of his music in one form or another. Lately, the more depressed I get over work or lack thereof, the more his music seems apropos. Always liked his soulful sound.

Ya no problem. If you haven't done any reading on Trent he is a really really interesting guy. Very intelligent and he is one of the dying breed of he is in it for the love of the music. Money and fame are not priorities for him.

Don't know how to post the direct video, but here's a great Cash song...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbUFOsqJ8-0 (edit) BTW, the table in this scene is a Brunswick Centennial...a beautiful art-deco design, with the aluminum fluting. My fantasy "if I win a lottery" game room contains a perfectly restored one.
