Ford Flex.....not bad

A client just picked up a Ford Flex and brought it by. All tricked out and WAY too much money for my tastes ($40k) but very very nice. Excellent front seat, lots of rear legroom and great interior space.

Generally don't like the domestics but this thing makes some sense! Wonder how ownership costs will compare to the Benz wagon/suv thing (R series i think).

What did you think of the interior quality? My father-in-law just bought a new Ford truck. The interior looked nice until I started touching things. Hard plastic is still hard plastic, even when it looks nice. Of course, GM can't even get it's hard plastic to look nice.:p

I'll give Ford credit, they're slowly building a decent lineup of cars. Like them or not, at least many of them are distinctive. Though $40k is a LOT of money for a Ford.

I bet most Expeditions are 40k, this version gets better mpg.

looks like a giant Scion XB.

My neighbor has a couple at the moment (Ford finance guy). I must admit, a really nice car but I'd be interested in retrofitting one with some Mazda CX-9 suspension upgrades. He says he get 22-24mpg. Tremendous amount of room inside.

I have heard really good things about them. Too bad they aren't selling more of them.

For pretty much my entire life I wouldn't have considered owning any Ford except an F series truck, but I have to admit that their current lineup is causing me to take notice.

interior was pretty decent but certainly not MB quality.

too much $$ for a ford station wagon but in terms of ride height and interior room it's good to see.

I would make the same comment about an Expedition.
