Did he post pix of his woman in PPOT and not like the reaction?

I have never felt one ounce of sympathy for anyone that kills themself unless some sort of terminal illness or something equivelant is involved.

Life is not fair, but it's fairer than death.

Isn't that amazing nobody sees it coming...ohh he was a nicest guy...always chit chated who knew...

And why might that be...cause people who commit suicide keep it all in, they never tell anybody anything is wrong...cause they think nobody will listen...nobody cares...or they are such awefull persons....in some ways they can't turn and face whatever it that is bothering them, they can't bear letting it be known that they are bothered by something..maybe they think I am really fked up to be bothered by this and everybody will think I am weird if I do let on.

Ohhh well..Gogar you are bothered by this or you would not have started a Thread...I would suggest that you do find out about the dog. Let me just say if my neighbor that I talked to, finished himself off I would be bothered and haunted by the reason. It would be a mystery that needs to be solved in order to make some sense of it all. Until then it will always be an unresolved event in your life.

my personal feelings towards a suicide case can pretty much be defined as : "good for him/her".

Anybody who feels so much misery that he want's to opt out, and actually does opt-out will have no regret's of the decision. All i hope for that person, is that he did get a smooth ride.

A different story for those left behind, if any... And i wish that they can find their peace with the whole thing... and not have any regret's about how they dealt with the deceased.

We all gotta die some day... the being death part ain't difficult, the living and dying part most often is.

I don't buy into the "but he could have had a good life later on if he looked past the problems of the moment".. Because he might just as well have been run over by a drunkdriver and be paralysed from the neck down for another 30 years of life... What-If's don't mean jack sj!t.

Dead is dead. No chance to take it back.

I still don't see it. I'm with Sniper on this one.

"Life isn't fair. It's just fairer than death, that's all."

I would tell you to ask him the same question, but he's dead.

My favorite uncle shot himself when I was 5 y.o. He was 26, recently promoted and engaged to be married. He was living with my grandparents. I happened to be visiting them when he did it. I heard the shot in the next room. I ran in and found him.

Not exactly my best childhood memory.

Well, I found out today that his home was in foreclosure, and was sold by the bank the same day he killed himself. It was the only house he had ever lived in, EVER. Born and raised in the house, bought it from his mother in the early '80s for (my guess) less than $100K.

(Other neighbor is a real-estate agent, and she pulled up.)

So, he had apparently refinanced or got a HELOC or something, at 11.x%, and owed $21x,000. Why? Who knows. He didn't have a fancy car in the garage or anything crazy. How could someone get that far backwards for no (apparent) reason? I don't know. Hookers and blow? Gambling? It's not nice to speculate, I guess.

So the bank sold it for $240,215. It's easily worth at least $350K in this neighborhood. The Zillow is $382K, FWIW.

I can't imagine why if he was so backwards in it why he wouldn't just sell it cheap and quick and start fresh. Couldn't see straight, I guess.

Well, that was an interesting few days.

About 15 years ago I had a neighbor 2 houses up kill himself. We weren't drinking buddies or anything like it but he was a super nice guy. My son was 4 or 5 and my daughter 10 or 11. He was always pulling over and talking to them if they were outside playing.

Our family was away the weekend he did it. Monday morining my wife called me from work and asked me if I'd seen all the cars up the street that morning parked in front of their house. No. They buried him that day and we didn't even know it had happened. Used a 357 hollow point through the roof of the mouth technique. I found that out that morning because one of the guys I worked with had been called in to clean up the mess. His wife lived in that house for another 10 years. ???? Weird They said he was taking multiple depression meds and got them mixed up.

Damn. He had a great son in college and daughter in hs. As it turned out the wife was the ***** from hell. I'd hate to think I'd let my wife screw with my head bad enough to off with a 357.

I dated a girl for a while whose parents were both alcoholics. Her mother shot herself in the head on her daughters 13th birthday. Needless to say she had some problems.

My neighbor across the street killed himself ~10 years ago. We had dinner with him and his wife about 2 days before, seemed pretty happy, was talking about setting up an appointment with my wife's eye doctor. With California's waiting period, at that time he had already bought the gun.

That's one thing I never understood about people saying a waiting period would stop crimes of passion. If you're mad enough to use a gun in a crime or to take your own life, what are the chances you'll never get that mad again once the waiting period is over?

Maybe the dude believed they'd go to heaven. Maybe it was terminally ill, who knows?
