Kit car lambo

Although I am sure there is a decent sum of money in this car, I am having trouble understanding why anyone would pay the $20,000+ this car has been bid up to. Mind boggling...

Still has the anemic fiero v-6, that's weak. If it had a high-revving V8 it would be a little more appealing.

it has rollers in the front of the car... that has got to be worth at least a 10 grand surplus over any other lambo kit car...

I mean, you do want some driving fun with the thing, and without the rollers, there's just less fun to be had.

I remember driving my 944 one day, and took a country road a teeny weeny bit to fast over a hump..went airborne on all fours... and when i landed.. scraped the front spoiler...

i wouldn't have if i had front rollers..

true story.

There are some kit cars I would buy just for the fun to drive factor and I will never be able to afford a real one... a Cobra... a Porsche 550... but that thing just looks like a poor imitation IMHO.

A simple bolt on supercharger kit would make it a hell of a lot more fun, agreed. If i had the kind of loot to just throw 20k at mindless hobbies and toys on a whim, i'd buy it, supercharge it, nitrous inject it, and have a barrel of fun.

I don't see it as embarassing at all. With about 300hp(easily achievable), it would be a little rocket ship, and i like the way it came out looks wise. As long as a person didn't try and pass it off as a real lambo, i cannot see any reason at all to hate on someone that owned something like this. It's a really cool little car IMO, but hey, opinions vary.

I bet the chicks would dig the hell out of it.

I think some of you guys care waaaay too much about what other people think. With a cheap-o SC kit and 100 shot of nitrous that thing would be freaking awesome fun to drive.

Yes but after you do all that to the fiero V6 you will blow it apart.

Obviously it is trying to be passed off as a real lambo, seeing as how it looks like a Countach, and has Lambo stickers and badges all over. He wants people to see him go by and say "look a Countach" when hes driving a Fiero. One who truly did not care what others think would not buy a flashy, rattly, fiberglass copy with all show (questionable) and no go.

Those 2.8 motors are actually really strong. Besides, if you blow it up you can drop in a new rebuild for a grand. It would be an interesting play toy.

I would take the badges off, definitely. It just looks small, light, and has a really low CG. Plus the interior is really nice.
With sufficient HP that thing would be a blast to drive. I wouldn't buy it unless i had money falling out of my pockets, but if i did, bah, why not?

I'm just sayin...

I'd rather have a Fiero GT than a turd kitcar made out of one. The last of the Fieros weren't that bad, for what they were. Lambo kit cars, like pretty much any fake piece of goods (watches, leather goods, sunglasses) ought to be eliminated. It pisses me off to see somebody build something that is that poorly made (up close they are pretty hideous) and then put a badge on it and try to pass it off as the real thing. A**wipes.
