life after people......
there is a neat series on the history channel, called "life after people", if you're entertained by post-apocalyptic happenings (or in this case, just minus humans) then you'll like it.

I haven't had the opportunity to watch it, but I thought it would be very interesting. Since it's on the History channel, there will be plenty of reruns though.

I watch it regularly and love it!
I can totally believe the logic behind the roads and buildings disappearing.

Is it OK for me to say that there will always be people on earth and leave it at that?
What's the purpose of the show, I hadn't seen or heard of it until now? KT

the purpose of the show is to see what happens if every single human vanished from the earth (how that may happen is not the story), it shows with good cgi how mother nature will take it's land back from 1 day after people til 5000+ years, plus different aspects like the food chain and such......you get the idea, but so far it seems well thought out.

Have you ever been to areas where human construction has been abandoned for quite some time? Like old roads/RR tracks, homes/foundations, bridges/mills. It doesn't take very long for our mark to disappear.

Sooner or later, everything runs its course. There simply are not enough resources on Earth to support the ever growing population....once those resources run out, a holocaust of epic proportions will take place as people will be beaten back to being savages in order to survive. That is...if the environmental hazards dont get us all first. |
