Tool guys: trying to find a reamer
 

I need a 24mm straight-flute hand reamer, preferably German. I've done some google searching, and it seems this is an item that places will list in their catalogs, but not actually have on hand. It also seems that the tool supply outfits have been the very last to get on this whole 'internets' fad bandwagon.

Can it be a chucking reamer?

I actually checked there first. They have a 22 and a 25, but no 24.

A chucking reamer doesn't have the lead-in taper to help it self-center.

Try searching or asking over on The Samba. They seem to be popular over there for flogging on air-cooled cars.

That's where I came from! All those leads came to dead ends.

try sandvick/komet/krupp/ or timesaver industrial in phx.

Our tool supplier an get you one for about $35, this would be an import not USA. About $60 for a USA brand. These would ship next day.

Your right, they won't list it on the website. When I called mark today about it he said that it would ship direct from their supplier with about $20 shipping charge for next day delivery. Mark is very helpful and if say Matthew at Prototypes Plus sent you, he'll no doubt go out of his way to make sure you are satisfied.
