well no wonder...thats pretty damned close... scared my cat just a bit and knocked the cover off of my fishtank. I just finished with going jogging less than 1 minute before... that would have been weird had it hit during a run. Last edited by Sonic dB; 05-17-2009 at 07:47 PM..

Hit pretty hard in north OC, my guess was either a 5ish a ways away or a 4 really close to us. Didn't last all that long but it jolted and had the pool sloshing around.

Not much I could feel where I am - a reminder how far I am from the coast 45 minutes. Was this bad enough to push PoP out of CA? I'd like him to ***** about another area for once. Just kidding, hope you guys closer to it are fine. George

My wife came down from upstairs and said "did you feel that?". I was downstairs finishing the dishes...nada.

Apparently, the size of an earthquake is directly proportional to how badly one spells "earthquake" immediately after the event.

Dinky.. don't think it made it to 5. The first jolt was nice tho, but it petered out quickly.

I was watching the Imax version of Start Trek when it hit. I was in Woodland Hills and it was enough to make a bunch of people walk out of the theater.

Down here in south OC, the quake started as a really subtle little shake (I wondered for a couple of seconds if one of my dogs was bumping up against the couch), then picked up in intensity for a few seconds, and then it was done. The whole event lasted maybe 8 to 10 seconds. Todd is right. I've felt much stronger quakes. Much stronger. This was nothing.

Was waiting for my daughter downtown in front of the Watercourt in the car, it's an overpass, thought it was a truck.

Felt it in south San Diego. I think it's sort of unusual for a quake of less than a magnitude 5 to be felt over such a distance.
