Auction database?

Is there some type of database that auto-auctions report to that would allow me to see what is rolling across the block?

Humm ...two days and no replies?

Most auction houses have web sites ( I am assuming car auctioneers are the same? ). In the past they would produce a (printed) pre-sale catalog of items to be sold, now it's mostly digital listings.

If you know the name of the auction company, just Google it.

That access is for dealers. Lots of great info. I can help by forwarding specific vehicles, if you'd like.

Depends on what kind of auction you are talking about.

I am wondering if there is a way to search the Auto-Auctions in the state for a car. A good friend of my dads maintains a Dealers license so that is no problem.

Yes, through Manheim.com you can search any state or region for any specific car, color, miles, etc. It will even email you when another match is found. The listings are just letting you know when that car is scheduled to be sold at auction, ehat lane and what run-number. You must then be a dealer to bid, either in person or via simulcast.

What are you looking for?

Cool thanks thats what I was looking for. My dad and I are sorta in the market for a 914. One sold a few weeks ago real cheap at an auction and we didn't hear about it till after the fact. My dad used to run used cars and enjoyed going to the auction but we just don't have time to physically search each auction every week.

You probably won't find a 914 at a dealer's auction. Maybe a police impound auction or estate auction. Search Craigslist.

I have been. Just thought I would widen my search field a little more. I figure it will take quite a while.
