Higher mile examples are to be had in the low to mid 20s. There was a fire sale here on PP lately. A 993 is cheap to run if you do your own work. Even if you have it serviced, the lack of depreciation will make up for it. Just buy a C4 if you need to go off road. ;)

I'm not going to go there...I can't have a 911 as my only car (not enough hauling space) and am not going down the track slippery slope.

Well, for now...I am interested to run the Subie at Streets and compare times with what my 911 ran.

The good think is the routing is all very well laid out and it looks like hoses and connectors are high quality. They are saving money on the interior compared to the Audi.

But frankly the engine compartment on the Audi was a pita because everything was covered by a shroud...kind of a big black box. I hear it's easy to work on though (looking around for Tim) :D

my local dealer ship sold mazda and subaru. it was great dealership. my wife has the subie, and she drives my car. her forester is great!!! i use it for all my outdoorsy needs. the day i have a dead animal on the roof; i would have arrived!

Congrats on getting rid of the Audi, as once it neared the end of it's warranty, it's value would have dropped like a rock. No doubt the Subaru stands a better chance of living a longer trouble free life. That said, my midwestern conservative brain will always associate Subies as liberal, gay or tree hugger mobiles..... No amount of pictures/videos/laptimes of bad@ss Subie race cars will change my mind. :D
