Anybody driven one? There is a $6k rebate right now. There are dealers offering $10k off MSRP, and there's 0% financing out there. I looked at one- the recaro seats are great- it has forged BBS wheels and brembos and lots of buttons and everything

I didn't drive it. I had gotten too excited, and I didn't want to do anything rash.

Anybody have experience with one?

I've only driven, not owned, the newest gen evo. The cockpit is a much nicer place to be, the materials are nice. Otherwise I came away with the impression that everything about the car was softer, less visceral. It might be as fast, but it's lost its edge.

Mitsubishi may very well fold soon. Besides the evo, what's to like? They don't sell enough vehicles to stay afloat. So keep that in mind.

wtf is your major malfunction? Sorry if I have a creative way of saying, "no I haven't driven one though I have seen them and researched them but due to my preference for more functionality I declined to drive one. In my opinion the performance and styling cannot overcome the other shortcomings but ymmv. If you look at the graphs on this slide you'll see the function/style factor (f/s) vs cost represented over multiple demographics. This slide..."
