Phil Spector gets 19 to life

don't pick up the soap

They will love his hair.

I can't imagine why he didn't flee after the 1st trial. I don't know who would have taken him, but with his money, he could have bought someone. I'll bet he doesn't have too much money left after 2 trials.

Anyway, he'll do 5 to 7, I'd guess. Shoot, they paroled one of the women that shot at Gerald ford. I know, she didn't even hit him, but she had a long sentence.

He's 69 and his health isn't that good, this is probably a life sentence and he deserves every minute of it.

He's always been a kook and threatened people with guns. He reportedly held the Ramones hostage at gunpoint back in the 70's when they wanted to fire him. Little man drunk with power trying to be big.

BTW, that's a wig. he's bald.

No wonder Ronnie divorced him..."Be my baby" sure got my teen hormones pumping!

How sweet it is...

Only in CA. can it take 6 years for a guy to go to trial for murder, while free the whole time. Sick. That's 6 years he should not have had.

rouxroux 05-29-2009 01:57 PM

I don't think they'll let him keep the wig.

I also think that he's getting ready to find out why they call it the "Pokey"!;)

Joey and Dee Dee are dead (cancer and OD) but Johnny is still alive. Johnny was the hardass of the group and also the brains. He's clearly the most intelligent as exemplified by his political beliefs.

Joey was the nutcase compulsive obsessive misfit, probably would have ended up in a straight jacket or homeless if it wasn't for the band. Dee Dee was the creative soul but had absolutely no morals, no sense of right or wrong, and everyone who knew him wondered why it took so long for him to die from heroin.

Totally agree and hope he has fun in prison. Then hope Lana owns his A$$ once he makes it to Hell.

Second degree murder is a mandatory life sentence. The 19 year sentence is the length of time he will be imprisoned before he is eligible for parole--2028 by the calendar.

creaturecat 05-30-2009 08:29 AM

The "wall of sound" is now a prison. He will die there.

Tobra 05-30-2009 06:29 PM

OJ and Phil Spector will both die in prison, go figure.
