So sick of Jalopnik...
I am done with Jalopnik.
The content has been reduced to little more than a means for wannabe-Jalops to compete for "Caption of the Day" with bad puns and allusions to '80s pop culture and auto advertisements. The news is generally old, unless it's written by Wert - but he seems to spend more time on TV than behind a keyboard these days. Top 10 Lists are split up into galleries to increase the number of clicks and ad views. The 24hrs of LeMons was funny/cool the first time or two. Covering 10 races each year is excessive. And finally: El Caminos suck. They always have and they always will. Please join me in ranting about Jalopnik. :D |
Didn't even know it existed. I guess I'll have to catch up first. ;)

Could never get past the horrendous graphic layout. There are far better blogs...

Put me in with the Jalopnik hater crowd.
I was irritated when they reviewed the new Shelby Mustang and 75% of the photos were of the car doing burnouts, we get it, it will spin the tires. They also unscrupulously create articles from popular threads in another auto forum I read. I actually sent them a nasty message when they re-hosted all of Wayne's 959 assembly photos without giving him or his 959registry.org website any credit, I think Wayne had to send them a cease and desist letter for that one. The 24hrs of LeMons series also seems to have jumped the shark. It now looks like a demolition derby for art cars with some bondage thrown in. Of course they never miss an opportunity to post an article about the entire 40 car field of beater entrants. |
