 Toronto is Cool!

Been here before, but never had much chance to walk around. Very cold in the winter like 30 below F and up to 100 and muggy in the summer, but very nice now. Went with the wifey to the CN Tower for dinner at the 360 revolving restaurant. Also, they have miles of underground shopping I guess the put it there 1) to increase rent space, and 2) the weather.

Most diverse city in N. America. 160 languages spoken there. Seems like everybody is on Prozac, though. The fashion/financial district is interesting. Lots of beautiful, rich woman.

toronto is amazing. i live just across the lake and get to visit often. one of the best cities in the world i think

I spent quite a bit of time there in the late 90's and had a job offer to move there that was pulled at the last minute when the funding for the business was dropped. I loved it there but it probably worked out for the best it got nixed before we bought a house and moved. Jogging along the water front in the winter when it was 0 or colder out was an interesting experience.
I love Canada. We're racing near Vancouver in late July, looking forward to it. |

no, actually Vancouver is the nicest city in the world, Toronto is not the "A" hole of Canada but you are close enough to smell it from there. I know this will piss off the TO boys but their just jealous they don't live in Vancouver
Q - What is blue and white and rolls around in the cellar A - Toronto sports franchises |

Went there for the first time for my bachelor party to see Rush play. What a drunken, retarded roadtrip that was. I'd like to go back and see the city again one of these days.

Shhhh, don't tell the TO guys that! They already think think they are at the centre of the universe...
I like TO and have worked there and have family just outside the city. I could rollerblade to the beaches from my brothers old house and downtown was a quick subway ride away. The cottage country outside of TO is stunning and unique. |

Is the Spaghetti Factory still around? Ate there on a 5th grade school trip.
Stayed at some biga$$ hotel downtown. The Grand Hotel, maybe? Got busted by MY Mom for trying to decipher the scrambled porn on the room TV.:D Went again with another couple back in the 80's. We were at some big drum shop on Younge street and, as we were told by several people, Neil Peart had just left. We probably passed him on the street!! He was my drum idol at that point. I MAY have been giddy when I found out I was in the same town. WTH? Did i just type the word giddy?!!! |

 Hugh,
One gotta see is the Hockey Hall of Fame. Fun and worth the trip. |

Hey Hugh, glad to hear you are enjoying it. I can provide lots of visiting suggestions if you tell me what you are interested in. If you want to show the wife to a special dinner, Opus on Prince Arthur has one of the best wine cellars in North America, and the food (at least when I was there) was phenomenal. If you're wife is like my girlfriend, the Bata Shoe Museum might earn you some points.

I lived in the Toronto area and downtown for 15years. I miss it ONLY during the late Spring to early Fall (essentially 6 months). Winter is horrid there, which is why I moved and took a job with less pay in Colorado. Very diverse city, lots to do, great night life and VERY safe city (very important stat.).
I also lived in Vancouver and enjoyed that city very much. Both cities have great attributes and provide exceptional experiences. Yasin |

Lovely city. Grew up in Detroit, and my father would take me up the the Science Center for little family field trips.

Man, my silk shirt rocked on that trip!!!!:D |

Peter Ustinov described Toronto as "New York run by the Swiss".
We lived there for a few years. It's a great town, but the climate sucks. Winters and summers are extreme. There's a lovely but short spring, and a longer and even nicer autumn. Mid September to end of October it's a perfect place. But that's about it. |

And who came up with this "center of the universe" thing anyways!? |

Glad you're having fun in the Big Smoke!
