My poor Targa even got wet - never been out in the rain before since I've owned it. Work was being done on my garage :(

Nothing like that here, cooled off a little since this morning but nothing like that. Still somewhat sunny.

Of course this is the day I took off to put the new clutch cable and helper spring in my SC.
I have to do it in my driveway since the garage is full with "the Mustang project" for the next year or two.

A little scrattered thunderstorm and we freak out.

Common occurence most everywhere, but here. Pea sized hail wouldn't make news elsewhere. ;)

Not a drop here yet, about 20 miles southeast of LA.

You've got some minor hail there, David. I realize that's major for SoCal, though.

Here's some major hail: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDyS_EJIcAU

:)

I think my post was supposed to be in green...

Glad there wasn't more damage!

No it isn't, looks like some kid turned over a snow-cone.

This is major hail, Georgia style.

Woke up the the grumble of thunder this morning, which was cool in the sense that it reminded me of my seven years living in South Florida, where BIG thunderstorms are a normal part of the landscape.

Hmmm, makes me miss the Summer afternoons in Colorado. Thunder storms would roll in, hail, rain and lightning for a couple of hours, then gone. 90% of California does not know what 'weather' is ;)

Things are starting to get ugly down here too...

You guys crack me up. Both pics are funny as hell.

One of the guys in customer service back at Solar Turbines was complaining about rain.

"Man, I hate it when it rain. Especially driving in it. You have those things that go back and forth and everything. Yah know?"

"You mean windshield wipers?"

"Yeah. I hate those things."

Why is it that there are never haulstones reported as being "as large as hailstones"?

The largest hailstone ever recovered in the United States, a seven-inch (17.8-centimeter) wide chunk of ice almost as large as a soccer ball, fell in south-central Nebraska in June, '09.

A few drops every now and then in the LB. Not enough to gloss the streets. So far.

mikester 06-03-2009 05:32 PM
