Pelicans at Hershey Swap

I just returned from a day in the sun at the annual Hershey swap meet. The weather was amazing and everybody seemed to be having a good time swapping. It was great to talk to so many Pelicans there. Our booth was right next to Shaun (of Shaun 84 Targa handle) and I have to say he was one of the greatest guys I've met off this board yet. He and Eric were fun to talk to all day. At the end of it all, Shaun took a huge stack of good parts that didn't sell and gave them away to whoever needed them. In short, he's as good a guy as he always seems on this board. And if you haven't checked out any of his t-shirts yet you really should. They are very high quality shirts, not some basement hack jobs that turn into rags within months.

-Matt

Geez Matt...had I know you were right next to Shaun, I would have introduced myself...and my daughter (who is maybe crazier than me when it comes to our beloved P-cars).
Shaun is indeed a class guy and a pleasure to talk to....and Shaun, if you see this post the tee shirt fits Hannah perfectly...she loves it ! Thanks man !

Plyhammer is another cool dude that I finally got to meet at Hershey, he even had that elusive radio...with a great price, that I need for Hannah's...I mean my 944
(I did find a radiator)

Punchthefish was another really great pelicanite that I got to meet and talk with...and of course he had something I needed too....amazing how that worked out.

All in all I had a great time. Hannah possibly had a better time than me by all of the calls she has made to her friends about the swap meet

Yup, coaching the next generation is a good thing !

Thanks everybody !

Thank you for the kind words Matt(s), it was a real pleasure meeting you guys, Eric, Erik, and 30 other Pelicans!

Great to hear the shirt fits Hannah Matt, and glad to see a real enthusiast taking after her dad.

Keep well guys and see you on the boards.

Shaun, sorry I never managed to drop by again like I said I would. I got lost searching for stuff that wasn't there and keeping my son happy....which wasn't easy. Nice putting a face with a name.

I saw Tab around noon or so. He was wearing his signature red-and-grey uniform. I say that because he wears it to Hershey every year. Fun to talk to as usual!

I met Shaun and it was good to meet him. The goodie bag from you Unobtanium was nice also. Thanks again.

I just saw this post or I would have said something earlier.

It was my first Hershey event, and I plan on going back next year. I ran into a few Porsche people that I knew from living in Southern Ca. and it was good to see them.

I found a few rare parts and found 95% of the parts on my list. I still need a nice late 80's front bumper shell with headlight squirter holes for a 930.

Ah now it's coming together!

Gotta say again i've never seen anybody pack up a pickup truck like Matt and Co. Unbelievable!

Agree Shaun is a top notch guy. The only way I could get money in his pocket was to buy a couple shirts and i managed to convince him to let me buy lunch. Looking forward to next year although i'm not sure how much i'll have to sell.

If i do have parts to sell i think i'll make up a sign like "Berettafan's Parts & Bullshatting Service" and hang it over my spot.

Lunch is definitely on me next year Erik. I got those spots for a song; it was only fitting to share the good fortune, and was fortunate to be next to you and Matt and meet some 30+ great Pelicans. Loves me that karma.

We'll have to do some kind of get together next year.
