Night classes blow.

Especially after an 8-5 job. End of story....

Just wait, after classes are over then you can just stay at work those hours... ...and if you're a lucky salaried employee or business owner, you won't get paid for it either!

...beats flippin burgers!

Hey, I did it senior year of college.

I worked 7-12 M-Th, and had classes 12-5, M-Th. On Tuesdays, I had a four-hour night class too, so I was working 7-12, then in class 12-9.

I had Friday-Sunday off, but because I had no time during the week, I had to do ALL of my studying and assignments for the week those three days, even if if the lecture on the topic hadn't been given yet.

Buck up, I think the working world is easier than that last year of college.

Yeah, I did it from '03 to '08 (Seems like a long time).

It didn't suck but it was work at times.

Here's what sucks - hourly labor worker, turned 50 this year, hours cut 25%, (no OT, obviously) no chance of retiring at my job, trying to futurecast just what sort of classes I should be taking to get work that will take me to retirement, (all the while competing with the zillions of victims of the current slowdown). And I'm one of the lucky ones, no mortgage, no kids, a modest savings account, (but just like the rest of us, a 401(k) that has seen better days.

If you are taking night classes for a forseeable payoff, you'll forget the inconvenience in the years to come.

...just sayin'.

I've met some hot women @ night school. One class I had was across the hall from an ESL class...packed with South American babes!

Oh yeah...I'd go back in a minute. Only evening class I'm contemplating now is welding. Probably not a lot of babes there...

Pfft. 8-5? Try 7-7 - in China.

But I feel you...I try to convince myself to learn the Chinese language after work and completed lessons are few and far between.

I went to college for 13 years (associates, BA and Grad degree), most of it working full time and attending college at night.

I feel for ya.

When I was done with school, I went back to teach at night for a few terms after working a full day of course.

Yea, I'm a slow learner.

Worked days and went to school for my MBA at night for four years. No sympathy.

Yeah. I work about 55 miles each way from home and about 40 miles away from work. Thankfully, it's only 3 nights a week. I am glad I even have an internship in this climate.

2 years of grad school where i would walk out the door at 7AM, catch the bus, and be coming home around 10PM, 5 days a week. During the summer it tapered off to 7AM to 7PM. It was always great when the El would break down in the summertime at 6PM, packed to the gills with people, in 95 degree weather because someone lit another station on fire
