Laptop and projector help, please.
Guys, a colleague has a dell latitude. When he hits fn+f8 to get his Powerpoint presentation to the projector, the projector displays the slide properly, but the laptop screen has the image enlarged. He can use the touchpad to move the mouse pointer to the side of the laptop's screen, which then allows him to scroll sideways, and to see the rest of the slide. This doesn't change the projected image!
Any thoughts as to what he has (inadvertently) done to produce this effect? Or might it be a (strange) incompatability issue with the (Benq) projector? TIA Stephen

Couple of thoughts (I'm not an expert on these things):
Is Powerpoint manually expanded on his screen or did he allow Powerpoint to expand itself (middle of the three boxes in the upper right hand corner of the window)? Is the resolution of the laptop set too high for the projector (common issue where I used to work)

Thanks GH, it looks as though you were spot on - a screen resolution issue
