Rusty Griswold: Hey, ya' got Pac Man?
Cousin Dale: No.
Rusty Griswold: Ya' got Space Invaders?
Cousin Dale: Nope.
Rusty Griswold: Ya' got Asteroids?
Cousin Dale: Naw, but my dad does. Can't even sit on the toilet some days.

Glad to hear everything went well! A good meal (prime rib in your case) helps get you back on track when the news is good. Now go out and flog that 911 a little, just for the fun of it:p

I was going to offer good will to poor Kurt. Then I read the Dave Barry piece. Now it's just kinda' funny.:p

Keep the faith Kurt, you'll be fine.

versed, probably.

crohns is one of the worst. glad to hear the really bad stuff was ruled out.

My girlfriend has been diagnosed with Crohn's since 1992 and she does alright with it - she's great at the positive attitude, which is the thing I love most about her. Her positive attitude, and that one thing she does...

Steak really messes her up. And watermelon. I don't understand the problem with watermelon 'cause I thought it was pretty much just water.

They just approved a new drug for the severe cases.

Glad things turned out decently Kurt. See, if you would have said "to hell with it", you wouldn't have found out. Hope things continue on a positive path.

Thanks for all the great responses and the funny as hell posts! Normally I am more optimistic, but for some reason this round just got me down. This thread was my whining for the year. I promise! :D

Glad to hear that everything turned out all right. I had virtually the same experience as Mark, and in fact the GI doctor was one of my sister's neighbors, who we've met socially on a few occasions. Let's say the procedure took the relationship to a whole new level...

I agree, the whole prep thing is a real drag. Next time I'll follow the nurses informal advice...
1) Don't add the flavor to the stuff.
2) Stick it in the freezer before drinking

Also having a laptop with a few movies on DVD is a great way to pass the time in the bathroom.

i think it is okay to get down occasionally. takes too much energy holding it up all the time.

you sound like a tougher human than myself. good luck!

I just happened onto your thread. This lady is a dear friend of mine. Are you familiar with her book?

Kurt, what you need is a warm coffee enima.

It won't help with Crones but it will give you a great rush and feel good at the same time!

Kurt,
For crying out loud, as much good as you have done for so many, you are allowed to gripe. You know we are ALL rooting for one of PP's stand up good guys. Now tell your tummy to stop that crap!:D

Thats good news Kurt. I had to do that last year myself. Ended up using PrevPak for a gastric issue and Sulfasalazine for IBS. Coulda been worse for sure.SmileWavy
