Mongo foot is the wrong way to skateboard...unless you are riding switch-stance.

fail...

Mongo is riding w/ rear foot on board and pedaling w/ front foot...its how i roll

Reg foot = right foot on back of board, propel w/ left, front. Dunno how the kids do it the other way...its how we did it in the 70's

Correct on the Mongo, but Regular foot is left foot forward, goofy foot is right foot forward. Most people favor their right leg and use it to push.

Mongo is definitely 'goofy' though

No but's about it...regular is left foot forward...it's WHICH foot you propel with. Mongo w/ the front...more accepted (tho I dunno why) w/ the back

Mongo is less stable: You can't steer as well with your back foot and it also takes longer to set up for tricks.

Uhhhh...you're right about that...I've left 1/2 my left forearm and quad skin on the ground while getting speed wobbles. BTW...the only tricks are grinding coping airs and ollies are for the kids

I picked up a 'hybrid' deck. Long with some gummy 78s for cruising but it has a tail. Probably could be ollied......if I could still ollie. Been trying to teach myself to push mongo, just for the heck of it.

Thanks Dip, I'll admit, this was a term we don't use & I incorrectly assumed it was an West coast term for goofy foot, at least you can show it in action.. I only had one friend, from way back that skated Mongo.. Dip, once again, proves that old guys can still skate, and we should salute him for still having game on his board.. I do have a friend who is about to turn 50, who also still has major game..
There isn't that many over 40 who can still do what Dip is doing, hats off to him...

that's some nice work dipso, looks like the combi bowl at Vans?

I've skated that myself over the years, but strictly below the coping with stiff style.

HardDrive, get those kids off the Razors and onto real skateboards! More fun in the long run and never to young to learn.

I go to mongo when my regular pushing knee gets sore. Bill Danforth is an original mongo pusher.
+1 on real skateboards not razors

Yes, the Combi. A beautiful pool.
I probably have several hundred hours in that thing.
Let me know next time your coming out. I'll push you until you hear tile, at least.

lol, you probably could push me to do that, even at my advanced age.

I'm normally a sensible shoes guy, but with crazy things like skateboards, or other physical challenges, i'm a sucker for peer pressure and fold like a palin daughter on prom night.
