Anyone else forget a lot?

Am a healthy 50 yo, no drink or smoke and had something strange happen the other day, Grabbed the TV remote to jump back the the last channel I was watching and had no clue what button to push, total blank, I had to ask the wife what bottom it was, then she started laughing at me. Now today I had to stop at my parents house on my way home to pick up something, its just one different road on my way home, I drive down their road, look at their house and head right home, after I realized I forgot to stop I went back.

So what the heck is going on, just too much on my mind maybe? I always forget where I put things but never worried too much about that stuff.

What was the question again?

Have you been sleeping enough? That happens to me when I get less than...Have you been sleeping enough?

I'm 30, and I've been experiencing that for as long as I can remember. ;)

In my case, I've always felt that my brain is doing so much multitasking that it sometimes "leaps ahead". For example, in the middle of Task A, I start Task B, then when I realize I was in the middle of Task A, I forget where I put the tool to complete the job.

My trend is to forget everything that I can store in a computer. And everything that is not either important or interesting.

Craig, no cause for alarm, we all blank. But, you might consider a medical check up if you haven't been in awhile. Mini strokes make for the same symptoms. That having been said, a LOT of medications can do this as well.

As the professor said, "Take notes if you can't keep up"

You should watch the movie "Memento"...

Sometimes I change rooms to do something but when I get to the room I can`t remember why I went there. I found that if go back to the previous place, the memory comes back too as it was associated with the first place. This has led me to believe that thoughts have a life on their own, and can become separated from us.
