Here's a shorty version with Schumacher 'driving'. So who really was behind the wheel?

Seems pretty lame.

You have some zillion dollar Mercedes, the greatest driver of all time - Michael Schumacher - and millions and millions to come up with an ad, and the best they can come up with is some bogus "viral advertising-ish" special effects stunt? Don't need Schumi or some fancy car to do that, just a big computer.

Maybe next in the series: Schumacher jumps over a 2010 C300, like this?

If it was real, its amazing and cool.

If it was CG, then its pretentious and lame.

The tunnel is here, we just need the car and we can do a PP version of Mythbusters: China Bar Tunnel, Highway 1, British Columbia - Google Maps

Its unfortunate they couldn't use CG to make that SLS a little less ugly.

Every technology has its limits, apparently.

Why wouldn't it be real? You just have to generate more downforce than the vehicle's weight. Those kinds of numbers have been done before:

"at 160 miles per hour (257 km/h), the car creates its own weight in downforce. Theoretically, the car produces enough downforce to drive upside down"

I grabbed these from the video-- my favorite is the van sitting there in frame 4 right where he'd be exiting the loop almost.

Just a few guesses:
... this car lacks the necessary aerodynamic augmentation
... the inertia of the necessary entry speed for any loop would completely compress the suspension
... because the exit angle of the ramp (see frame 1 above) is too low on the wall
... because Michael is too valuable to be risked in a stunt like this

Apples and pears, you can't compare them.

Different radius of the tunnel.
JC's stunt has very little to do with downforce, more with centrifugal force than anything else. (It's not like a Twingo creates its own weight in downforce at 37 mph...)
You can see that he needs the sudden sidewards motion to make the "barrel roll", if he could have turned even sharper to the left than what he did, maybe he would have made it.
