Harrison Hot Springs (BC)

I'm looking for a place for the last three days of our PNW trip (Sequim, Victoria, Tofino, Whistler and Semiahmoo). Harrison Hot Springs Resort came up as a possible candidate but I've read mixed reviews. Does anyone have some more insight to offer ? Tx.

I've been there. I give it about a 6 out of 10. Crowded area in the summer. Most rooms don't have a water view. Not cheap. Limited restaurants and a long drive to the closest town. I grew up in the Sequim area and my mother is still there. When you gonna be in the area? If you want to drive 3 hrs. from Sequim, you can use my cabin with a view of: Lake Cle Elum - no charge.....

I'm looking for something in the same area after our vintage race at Mission in July and had checked in to this resort. We're only going to be there one night so we may still book there. If there is a fabulous RV resort near there we could also make that work.

There is an old section and a newer section to Harrison Hotsprings Hotel. The old section is not the greatest. Not terrible either. Nice poolside. Nice spa area. There are as well some cabin type set-ups in the back. HH Springs hotel is a very busy place. Nice ambience, for the most part. The other motels/hotels in HH Springs are a bit trashy, in comparison. YMMV.

The Harrison Hot Springs Hotel is owned by Raputaman Singh Malack who was the master mind and financier of the Air India bombing , you remember the plane that crashed in Scotland, he was guilty as hell and his co conspirters ratted him out but he still got off, it was the the most expensive trial in Canadian history. Old Raputaman is worth 20 million or more but he still forced the gov't to pay for his defence, about 5-6 million and then he hires his 2 kids to be part of the defence and they have no professional training what so ever. All this was in the response to the treatment of Siek's in India, when told that there would be Sieks on the plane his response was " if there good Sieks they won't care about dieing for the cause and if they are bad Sieks - who cares" Not only is he responsible for the deaths of everyone on board that flight his other bomb killed 2 baggage handlers in Japan, the guy is a mass murderer resposible for the deaths of 400 people, he is a terrorist. There is lots todo in the town of Harrison but stay away from the hotel. The only time I'd set foot on that f***s property would be so I could take a crap in the lobby

http://www.vrcbc.ca/race%20events.htm I haven't raced there yet but have friends who rave about the facility, especially for the little cars.

Garp: I'd give Harrison Hotsprings a miss. Way overrated. Why not spend the last few days in Vancouver? Lots to see and do. Lots of good hotels and restaurants etc. You could stay right on the beach at the Sylvia Hotel for example. Also not sure about your choice of Semiahmoo—unless you know someone there. Certainly doesn't make my "top 25" list for the area.
